Your Neighborhood IOP
Waterview offers both five-day and three-day group schedules. Schedule placement depends on clinical needs, current availability, and practical attendance considerations. Treatment may include group therapy, individual therapy, family therapy when clinically appropriate, and medication management overseen by our Medical Director, Dr. Straun, who is board-certified in General Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry. Because treatment is provided in Wallingford, local participants can discuss work, school, family, and transportation needs with admissions when considering whether the program is a practical fit.
Evidence-Based Clinical Care
We use evidence-based therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). EMDR is a trauma-focused approach with strong research support for PTSD and anxiety — and it remains uncommon in outpatient programs. Mental Health Track — For individuals living with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, ADHD, OCD, and other conditions that benefit from structured outpatient support.
Chemical Dependency Track — For those addressing substance use disorders with a focus on recovery skills, relapse prevention, and building a sustainable path forward.
Co-Occurring Track — For individuals managing both mental health and substance use challenges simultaneously.
Mission Reset Program — A specialized track for first responders, veterans, and public safety professionals.
