Jewel is a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 10 years of dedicated nursing service in various roles, including emergency, inpatient psychiatry, behavioral health case management, medication-assisted treatment, consulting, school nursing, and intensive care management. Currently, she provides psychiatric/mental health evaluations, supportive psychotherapy and medication management to clients with anxiety, mood disorders, personality disorders, eating disorders, OCD, PTSD, ADHD and more. She is experienced in treating clients from children to older adults.

Jewel’s commitment to the mental health field stems from a deep-seated desire to improve access to care for at-risk populations. Her strong community-based nursing experience has allowed her to integrate within underserved communities to bridge care gaps and improve client outcomes. This experience establishes her holistic approach to psychiatric/mental health care. She prioritizes increasing client engagement beginning at the initial visit – “meeting clients where they are”, collaborating to create treatment plans, and facilitating progress towards individualized treatment goals. She passionately educates clients regarding their treatment options, building their self-advocacy skills, and improving their overall well-being. She promotes collaboration with therapists and other providers to implement evidence-based, client-centered treatment plans.

Jewel earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS) and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Rhode Island. She is board-certified as a PMHNP by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
