Jocelyn Scallion, LMSW
Primary Therapist, Mission Reset
Jocelyn is a dedicated U.S. Army combat Veteran with a Master of Social Work, currently serving as a Primary Therapist at Waterview Behavioral Health. She has worked at the Department of Veteran Affairs in West Haven, Homes for the Brave in Bridgeport, CT, Aware Recovery Care also and works as a clinician at Holistic Behavioral Health and Wellness Center. Her personal experience as a Veteran who survived deployment to Iraq in Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) deeply informs her therapeutic approach.
Jocelyn’s approach is grounded in empathy, authenticity, and empowerment, with a strong commitment to supporting clients on their path to wellness. She is skilled in providing trauma-informed care, cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, somatic and narrative therapy. She is also proficient in ecological systems theory and the person-in-environment approach. Jocelyn’s experiences in the military have given her a well-rounded, globally informed perspective on human development and culture. She is honored to assist clients with their individualized journeys toward mental wellness.
In her free time, Jocelyn can be found making lighthearted mischief with fellow OEF veterans, singing karaoke with enthusiasm (if not pitch-perfect accuracy), hiking, swimming, reading sci-fi and fantasy novels, gardening, and painting with acrylics.
