Nicole Castiglioni, LPC

Nicole Castiglioni is a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in traumatic stress, anxiety and substance use disorders. She is a Certified EMDR Therapist and Approved Consultant through EMDRIA. She is an EMDR Training Facilitator with the Humanitarian Assistance Program (HAP), assisting with EMDR trainings offered to clinicians across the country. Nicole is also trained in Brainspotting, a treatment approach widely used to treat symptoms related to trauma. Nicole currently owns a private practice in Guilford CT offering both individual and couples therapy to adults and is a member of the Fairfield County Trauma Response Team (FCTRT) that provides various support services to First Responders and their families.
Nicole has worked in a variety of treatment settings in which she has had the opportunity to support adolescents, adults, and families in both outpatient and residential treatment programs. She previously served as Research Coordinator with Yale University assisting in the development of a parenting program for pregnant women and mothers with young children enrolled in substance abuse treatment. Nicole has worked as a clinician in a number of outpatient treatment settings with the APT Foundation and Middlesex Hospital. She also previously served as Assistant Director with Continuum of Care Crisis and Respite program and as Mental Health Director with Crossroads outpatient and residential treatment programs. Through her work, Nicole has had the opportunity to develop a range of skills and knowledge that she uses to support her clients.
